Happy Valentine’s day and You have a Big Sister!!! :)

Happy Valentine’s Day! Well you definitely have a sweet tooth because I ate 3 mini-cupcakes today. 🙂
We told Alysa, your big sister, about the news of your scheduled arrival and she was sooooo happy!! She cried even more than Momma B and she says that she will help with the diapers too (well maybe not the poop diapers!).
Your father surprised me at work today and took us out for French food – Escargot and Trout Almondine made both you and I very happy campers. He also brought me a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Everyday feels like Valentine’s Day at Casa Betancourt. 🙂

Ok so let’s go back in time a bit and the date is Wednesday, February 6th.
I went to work and felt completely fine until I took my prenatal pill and my oh my did my stomach react. I was able to make it to the ladies room in time to relieve my stomach of the mini warzone going on but when I returned to my desk, I did not feel so great. Your father is pretty awesome and made arrangements to pick me up from work. After dropping me off at home, I suggested to Abuelita for us to go get tacos from King Taco! Yummmy! One taco, one sope and a large Jamaica later, I was (you were) a happy camper.
That evening, your father and I decided to tell Abuelita all about you. I made a card for her from you, thanking her for the delicious tacos and also let her know your birthday is super close to hers. I think the photos show her reaction better than any written description. 🙂
She is such an amazing, loving, energetic, beautiful woman and I can’t wait for you to meet her. 🙂

Today we are going to tell G-Ma & G-Pa about your special arrival. They are going to be sooo excited!!! We went shopping to buy a small gift for them to tell them the news. On the way back to the car from the store, I was SUPER hungry and your awesome Papa bought me a tuna sandwich AND a tasty ginger soda. I know he is already spoiling you because this never happens. 🙂

Dear Little Person,
First off, your mother is a bit of a procrastinator. I thought of writing to you much earlier but never put pen to paper until now. I was VERY surprised by the positive test result and do admit that finding out about you was the BEST birthday present ever! The date was January 26, 2013 to be exact. Your father and I are very happy and looking forward to meeting our newest team member to TEAM AWESOME! I must cut this entry short because I am at work but I can’t wait to tell you all about our family.
